Chasing my dreams

Though I have already decided for blog name, my hubby still keeps on suggesting a catchy name for my blog. Just this afternoon, he was suggesting that I name it Chasing my dreams. I already told him that I have decided on SupahMeeh because I can't really promise that I will be writing often about my dreams. But for today, let's talk about my dreams. Daddy, this particular post is dedicated to you.

I have a lot of dreams, some are impossible, some are just so easy and some were already realized. A good example of a fulfilled dream is finding someone who would love me unconditionally. I am now a proud wife of the most caring, loving, handsome and thoughtful guy on earth. I can clearly recall how he courted me, hehehehe too personal to share it here but my close friends know about it.

Let's talk about my lifelong dreams:

1. I wanted to be known as an International Karate Athlete. I first dreamed of becoming one when I saw Bea Lucero winning a bronze medal in 1992 Olympics. I was never close to realizing it, though I've played Karate and I loved it till i got so busy in college and didn't have much time to squeeze it in my sked.

2. I wanted to be a good driver and be able to drive a big truck. But hubby would not allow me yet to drive on my own. :( Only casual driving is permitted. Its not yet late to realize it, right?

3. I want to own a business. I still don't know what kind of business though.

4. I want us (me and hubby) to have our very own dream house. We are now a proud owner of a decent lot in Punta Verde, so I think having our dream house can be attain soon (hope so!).

5. I want to travel and travel. Whenever time permits (and if budget is not tight), hubby and I love to visit different places. Hubby said, we will visit US someday..... so you see, I think someday is not really a bad word. It just gives me more hope.

6. I want us to have a baby. We don't talk about it before since we just want to enjoy each other's company first and focus on just us but being married won't be complete without a child, right? We are not yet a hopeless case since we started to talk about it just this year. We still think that God will give it to us in His own sweet time.

7. And the list goes on and on...

Have I done anything to realize all my dreams? Well yeah... kinda.. but I think I haven't work hard enough to reach them. I've read once that for dreams to come true, you must stop chasing them. And why not???? For me, its more like a butterfly or LOVE, when you chase it, it eludes you. But when you stop chasing, it voluntarily comes to you. They said we should work hard enough to attain something but the bad side of it is that we forget to live, we struggle to achieve it, we dont enjoy anymore. We don't enjoy the scenery on a detour. Would you be happy fulfilling all these dreams knowing you lost track of everything because you became desperate in chasing your goal? You focus on it so much. Am I making any sense here? I hope I do. hahaha.

Nuff of this gibberish. Lets talk about these two cuties who are celebrating their birthday today.

The younger one first, he is my beloved godchild. Very playful and yet so timid. He calls me Tita Ninang and calls hubby Tito Daddy. He is just so sweet and I think he is a photographer in the making. I haven't seen him recently but I know I will see him soon. His dad (my kuya) keeps on pressuring me to give Tian tian a playmate, and he will have it. Hahaha thanks to his mom and dad coz he will be having a baby brother/sister really soon.

My friend this time, she is Gara. Been my best bud for almost 9 years now. She is a batchmate at work and more than that. She is a sister I never had. She was even my maid of honor. We shared hellavalota secrets. I think she knows me a lot. She knows what runs in my mind. I hope to see her walk down the aisle soon. I bet she'll be the loveliest bride of the year. No offense to our other friends, not unless they will all be married on the same year. Of course they will have their own highlights. I just hope its gara this year. I want us to bond just how we bonded when I was planning on my wedding. Late nights of giveaway makings, planning and planning and more planning. It's just so exciting. You know that you'll have my full attention and support when that time comes.

So for both of you, a very Happy Birthday. I feel so blessed for being a part of your lives. Love yah both.
